as to what it is will probably be just as good as ours. Actually,

Blood Bullet: House of the Dead Gaiden

This Naomi-based arcade machine features super-gory beat ‘em
up action in which players kick the seven shades of crap out of

like a winner to us! The good news is that a souped-up Dreamcast
version is expected to arrive late next year.

Confounding Factor
The lead programmer and lead artist of the Tomb Raider series
have broken away from Core to form their own development group,
and Galleon is their first title. It's a 3D adventure game that
takes the Tomb Raider style gameplay to new heights. Expect to
see it on PC first, with a Dreamcast version to follow in early
2000.

Developed at Sega’s internal US studios, this open-environment
shooter, originally shown at this year’s E3 as a demo, is
being turned into a full-blown product that will be launched when
the Dreamcast debuts in the US.

Yep. It’s a fishing game. And it’ll be compatible with
the Dreamcast fishing reel peripheral that’s in development
right now. Be still our beating hearts.
Giant Glam – Japanese National Pro-Wrestling at the

Manage your own Baseball team in this stylized simulation that
sports deformed characters and tons of stats.
Let's Make a Pro Soccer Club

Like the baseball title, this is a management sim with tons of
stats. Unlike the baseball game, however, the graphics are far
more realistic, and it carries an official J-League license.

Infogrames have the license to Warner Bros' popular cartoon
characters. The last thing we heard was that this was going to be
a kind of Mario Kart game. There'll be no complaints from us if
it is and it's good.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park

lots of people to eat. Yummy.

The creator of Psygnosis' Formula 1 series is hard at work on
Metropolis. It's a driving game with incredible physics and
amazing graphics, according to a fellow we know who recently saw
it. It will feature real cars, though there are no license
details available yet.
Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation
Ubi Soft
Ubi's Grand Prix racer is set for a winter launch in Japan.
Featuring all of today's cars and tracks, as well as a Retro Mode
that sports authentic 50's cars and courses from that era, this
Dreamcast racer is looking very cool indeed.

A very strange racing game that takes place over a variety of
different terrains. Looks pretty cool, and is scheduled for
release at Dreamcast’s launch.

A first for Capcom – a fully-3D fighting game. It’s
actually really cool because the fighting environments have
multiple levels, and there are all sorts of objects that you can
pick up and use to mash your opponent.
Project Berkley

The mysterious Dreamcast title that Sega maestro Yu Suzuki is
working on is none other than Virtua Fighter RPG. It’s still
at a very, very early stage at the moment, with little more than
a young Shun (the old drunken fighter bloke) wandering around
some basic environments. Gameplay details are non-existent at the
moment, but what we can confirm is that one level will be based
on the Babylon Dreamcast demo.
Puyo-Puyon

It’s actually Puyo-Puyo 4 (the first game was released in
the states as Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine on Genesis), a
strange, but highly addictive puzzle game that has a variety of
multi-player modes.

Oh dear oh lord. With Godzilla Generations coming out, why do we
need this 2D side-viewed blast from the past? Leave it there and
make something more fun and up-to-date, please.
Rayman 2

One of the most amazing-looking PC platformers yet is scheduled
for release on Dreamcast. It should be one to watch for.

This fast-paced tank shoot ‘em up is well underway by
English developers Argonaut, the guys who brought you Star Fox
and Croc.

Clean underwear is highly recommended for this -- the best-looking
and scariest zombie-fest yet!

Burn rubber in this conversion of Sega's popular racing game. As
well as featuring all the tracks and cars of the arcade original,
the title will sport a 40-stage rally championship mode.

latest iteration of the series.

promises to capture the spirit of his original platform-style
adventures – but in 3D.
Sonic/Knuckles RPG

In a Sonic double-whammy, the blue speedster is also starring in
this 3D RPG, for those who just can't take the pace of his arcade-style
platforming.

This racing game enables players to drive classic and modern-looking
cars around fantasy environments based on real life – such
as Hollywood and Aspen. It’s out on PC at the end of the
year, and will appear on Dreamcast when the machine launches in
the US.

According to the materials we got from the Tokyo Game Show, this
is a “travel communication”. So now you know as much as
we do.

This amazing-looking and very gory N64 first-person shooter will
appear on Dreamcast with improved graphics and sound.

The most impressive Quake-style game yet is coming to Dreamcast,
and should be very close to an accelerated PC version. We wait
and drool.
Virtua Fighter 3: Team Battle

The greatest fighting game series ever will make its debut
simultaneously with the launch of Dreamcast, and will sport new
moves and refinements over the arcade original. It incorporates a
kind of tag-team mode in which you choose a team of three
fighters and pit them against other players' teams over the net.

This popular one-on-one robot fightin’ arcade game will make
an excellent Dreamcast title, especially when you consider the
multiplayer potential.

Sega’s top arcade soccer game will arrive on Dreamcast by

This conversion of the PC realtime strategy game is being ported
to Dreamcast with currently unspecified enhancements.
Age of Empires 2

This reasonably popular strategy wargame is apparently making its
way to Dreamcast.
Alone in the Dark 4

This cool realtime action adventure is apparently in production,
although there has been no official confirmation as of yet.

The classic coin-op gets a major update for Dreamcast, and the
game will allegedly feature multiplayer gaming. Hurrah! Can we
have a “free” version of the original coin-op included
on the CD, please?
Black and White
Lionhead
Peter Molyneux, creator of the highly respected Populous series,
has a new development company, and its first title, Black and
White, will be launched on Dreamcast. It’s a Populous killer,
apparently.
Command and Conquer
Westwood
It’s no surprise that this highly successful realtime
strategy game will make a Dreamcast appearance. But hopefully it
will be based on Tiberium Sun, and not the original C+C, which is
now getting on a bit.
Castlevania 3D

Konami’s immensely popular franchise is rumored to be making
an appearance on Dreamcast. And all in lovely 3D, if the title is
anything to go by. Which we suspect it is, ‘cos let’s
face it, if “Castlevania 3D” was in fact a 2D platform
game, players would be somewhat miffed.
Croc 2

After a fairly successful first outing on PSX, Saturn and PC,
Croc’s making a return on Dreamcast. Expect more 3D Mario-style
adventuring, but with even better graphics!
Dark Earth Adventure

Kalisto’s action strategy game is apparently joining
Dreamcast’s burgeoning realtime strategy genre. But the
question is, will people want them? After all, despite the fact
that Dreamcast is an awesomely powerful machine, it’s still
a console. And players of console games much prefer action games,
rather than strategy titles. Don’t we?
Dead or Alive 2
Tecmo
This should be an excellent translation of the top-notch fighting
game, assuming Tecmo uses the awesome power of Dreamcast. Which
is a pretty safe bet, one would think.
Die by the Sword 2

It’s an action game that takes place in a fantasy world.
Kinda like most games, then.
Duke Nukem 3D: Forever

Wahey! There should be first-person blasting a-plenty in the PC-to-console
port of this mightily popular and highly playable Quake
derivative. And with online play, it should be an out-and-out
winner. Want some?

This update to the classic realtime strategy game is being ported
over from PC. Let’s hope Westwood adds in some cool DC-specific
features.

Everyone’s favorite sub-aquatic mammal makes his long-awaited
return in this all-new 3D underwater adventure game.

This futuristic racing game is going to hit Dreamcast in style,
sporting cool lighting effects and ultrafast racing action.

This Cobra board fighting game should be arcade perfect when it
arrives on Dreamcast. But how it’ll stack up against all the
other DC fighters remains to be seen.
Fighting Force 2

The original Fighting Force was a great-looking title, but
suffered terribly from repetitive gameplay. Let’s hope
developers Core realize this game’s potential second time
around by utilizing the Dreamcast’s power and by providing
more varied play.

their sports games.

released is fighting games. What with Dead or Alive 2, Fighting
Vipers 2, Virtua Fighter 3 and this, Last Bronx 2, Dreamcast
fighting fans will certainly be able to get their kicks out of
the system (as well as punches, low blows and all the rest).
Le Mans 24 Hours

Top racing action is the order of the day in this translation of
the excellent arcade racer that incorporates superfast cars, day
and night-time racing and some very cool graphics.
Lunar: Eternal Blue

The rumors that this is coming out on Dreamcast have been denied
by Working Designs. That said, we still have sources saying that
a Lunar game is indeed in development. Maybe it's not Eternal
Blue? Maybe it's an all-new Lunar game? We'll keep our Japanese

Climb into a Mech and go on the rampage in a war-torn future. The
PC version of this is a great game; the Dreamcast version is
apparently taking a more arcadey slant.

The venerable Megaman is arriving on Dreamcast in an all-new 3D
platformer. Hopefully it’ll be much better than other
Megaman games of late.
Metal Gear Solid 2

The b-i-g rumor is that the sequel to Konami’s phenomenal
Metal Gear Solid will make its debut on Dreamcast. The
PlayStation version is amazing; the DC version should be
incredible. Just don’t expect it any time soon.
Mortal Kombat 4

No system’s software library would be complete without a
version of Mortal Kombat, and Dreamcast is no exception. The
latest episode in this long-running fighting series will appear
in all its gory 3D glory.
Multi-Racing Championship 2

Although the original game wasn’t a particularly great N64
title, it’s hoped that Genki’s sequel for Dreamcast
will be much improved in the gameplay department.
Munch’s Oddysee
The third in the graphically brilliant Abe’s Oddysee series
is coming to Dreamcast, and it should be a classic, judging by
what developers Oddworld have done on other systems.
NHL 2000
Electronic Arts
It’s no surprise that EA are already working on Dreamcast
sports titles. And it’s a fairly safe bet, if history is
anything to go by, that other EA franchises such as Madden’s,
FIFA and NBA will also be making an appearance soon after the
machine’s launch.
NiGHTS: Into Dreams 2

The strangely surreal NiGHTS platform-adventure-flying game was a
graphically outstanding Saturn title: it should look incredible
on Dreamcast.
Panzer Dragoon Saga 3

One of the greatest Saturn games is coming to Dreamcast in this
continuation of the graphically-astounding RPG/action series.
What form the gameplay will take in this title, however, is
currently a mystery.
Powerslave 2
Lobotomy
Lobotomy’s excellent work on the original Saturn Powerslave
bodes well for this scheiss-kicking, next generation sequel.
Anticipate great first-person blasting action, as well as a
plethora of processor-pushing special effects. Oh, and online
play too. Yay!
Prince of Persia 3D
Red Orb
The venerable POP series is set for an all-new update – in 3D.
Expect much fiendish platform-puzzling and plenty of
swordfighting action.
Quake 3

This and Quake Arena are apparently in development, but there are
no details available as of yet. Believe us -- we're digging for
more info!
Racing Jam 2

This is an amazing-looking and highly playable coin-op, and it
should port across to Dreamcast very faithfully. We await with
much anticipation.
San Francisco Rush 2

The popular stunt-racing coin-op is on its way to Dreamcast, and
should be just as good as the original arcade game.
Samurai Showdown

It’s more side-viewed 2D fighting action, but this one
sports sword-wielding ninja blokes.

Take the role of a flying creature in this flight combat game,
which is being designed from the ground up as a multiplayer game.
Sim City 3000
Maxis
The newest in the long-running Sim City saga is set to appear on
Dreamcast – but how popular will it be with console players
in the face of the plethora of action titles coming out for the
system? Only time will tell…
South Park
Acclaim
Looking just like the cartoon, this wild Quake-style game
featuring all your favorite South Park characters is apparently
on its way to Dreamcast.
Spikeout

This arcade conversion is a beat 'em up along the lines of
Streets of Rage. The coin-ops can be connected for excellent
multiplayer team play, so it sounds ideal for the online-able
Dreamcast.
Streetfighter Alpha 3
Capcom
Yet another fighting game, but this one is of the classic Capcom
side-on 2D variety. It should be arcade perfect. Or we’ll be
pissed.
Super GT

Originally, Sega said that it wasn't going to port this arcade
title, but we're hearing rumors (and indeed have spoken to people
who've played a demo of the game) that Super GT is indeed going
to be available at the system's launch.
Tekken 4
Namco
Yup. You just read it. We're hearing rumors from Namco that
Tekken 4 will be appearing on Dreamcast. And yes, we're on the
hunt for more info.
Time Crisis 2
Namco
Namco's shooting coin-op is headed for Dreamcast, providing yet
more evidence that a Dreamcast lightgun will be forthcoming.
Total Annihilation 2
Cave Dog
Yep. It’s another one of those realtime strategy game ports
from PC.
Trespasser

This 3D Quake-style game is set in the Jurassic Park universe.
Expect to see lots of big dinosaurs. Let’s hope they bite
people’s heads and arms off and stuff. Yay!

Id has already said that its very own Quake killer, Trinity, will
be designed first and foremost as a multiplayer game. We expect
the same for the Dreamcast version – but hopefully the
single-player mode won’t be overlooked.
Turok 3
Acclaim
Turok 2 looks incredible on N64. High hopes are expected of the
Dreamcast sequel.
Vampire Savior

Better known as Darkstalkers 3, this side-viewed fighter will be
competing with a myriad of others.
Virtua Cop 3

Does this mean there’s a light gun in development? One would
hope so if the rumors are true that this fine shooting game is in
the works.
V-Rally 2

The original PSX version of this (titled Need for Speed: V-Rally)
really pushed the PlayStation to its limits; the Dreamcast
version should be even more astounding. We wait with baited
breath.
VR Football
Interplay
According to an insider, Interplay is bringing its rather average
VR Football to Dreamcast. Let's hope it sports a lot of
improvements over previous iterations.
VR Hockey

That lovely insider also told us that VR Hockey is in development
too.
Wipeout

Psygnosis has hinted there's a strong chance that the Wipeout
franchise is coming to Dreamcast. If so, it'll surely be the best
iteration yet!

It’s baseball, but with an arcade slant. And it should look
absolutely fabulous, judging by previous Saturn iterations of
this franchise.
